Job summary

Leoforce seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Virginia with 4–6+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience. You will design HVAC, EMCS, plumbing, and fire protection systems, perform calculations, and select equipment for commercial projects, including government work.

BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET) required; EIT/PE preferred and LEED credentials preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit; able to generate as-built drawings and handle shop drawings.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• 4–6+ years of Mechanical/HVAC design experience.
• Ability to generate calculations and select equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, EMCS, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems; perform calculations and equipment selection.
• Generate as-built drawings, review shop drawings, and prepare project specifications.
• Assist engineers and drafters to complete accurate designs; respond to RFIs and provide feedback to PMs.
• Conduct surveys of existing conditions and final inspection surveys; assist with due diligence and QC.

• Senior to Mid-Level Opportunities Available
• 4-6+ years of Mechanical/HVAC Systems Design experience, Perform Calculations, select equipment, and design systems (HVAC Systems, EM&CS Systems, Plumbing Systems, Fire Protection Systems)
• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited University.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
• EIT or PE License Preferred
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance Required
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit Software
• Able to Generate As-Built Drawings, Review Shop Drawings, Prepare project specifications and assist engineers and drafters in completing accurate designs.
• Respond to RFI’s, Provide feedback to Project Managers on client problems and needs.
• Conduct surveys of existing conditions and Final Inspection surveys
• Assist with Due Diligence Reports and Quality Control
• LEED AP or LEED GA Preferred, Not Required
