Job summary

Laborie is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the PLM Engineering team in Portsmouth, NH. The role focuses on product life cycle management of current Laborie portfolio lines, implementing design changes, updating specifications, drawings, BOMs, and documentation in line with quality systems.

You will develop test setups and strategies to enable design verification/validation studies and contribute to documentation compliant with Laborie QMS, ISO, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 2 years of design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.
• Experience with design for excellence, FEA, and the engineering change process.
• Familiarity with GMP, FDA QSR (CFR 820), IEC 60601/62304 and ISO 13485 is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage the product life cycle of current Laborie portfolio lines.
• Design, implement, and deliver product changes to support sales, marketing, production, and service.
• Maintain and update specifications, drawings, BOMs, and other design documentation per quality systems.
• Develop test setups and strategies for design verification/validation studies.
• Aid in Production and Development Documentation in compliance with Laborie QMS, ISO, and regulatory standards.
