Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Mechanical Engineer for the Lethality Team to develop next‑gen warhead and ordnance systems. You design new mechanical hardware, test prototypes, and iterate based on results, working directly with the people building it.

No prior warhead expertise required; strong judgment and curiosity are essential. You will design from requirements through CAD, fabricate, assemble, and test, then optimize for manufacturability while collaborating with vehicle, systems, and safety

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 year of practical, end-to-end mechanical product design experience.
• Experience taking a new mechanical product through CAD, drawings, fabrication, assembly, testing, and iteration.
• Strong fundamentals in materials, tolerances, interfaces, manufacturing processes, and DFM.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design new mechanical hardware from requirements to CAD drawings, fabrication, assembly and test.
• Turn ideas into manufacturable products by selecting materials and processes.
• Build, test, and improve designs with manufacturing, analysis, and test teams.
• Integrate hardware into larger systems by coordinating with vehicle and safety teams.
• Develop increasing technical ownership toward independent subsystem design decisions.
