Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking an Engineering Lead – Cold Box Packaging to guide the design, packaging, integration, and delivery of cryogenic cold box systems across our clean energy solutions. You will lead multidisciplinary teams through concept, detailed design, fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning to ensure reliable, efficient packaged systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 8+ years of engineering

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related field.
• Eight plus years of engineering experience, preferably involving cryogenic systems and packaged equipment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, piping systems, and design documentation.

Job Overview

The Engineering Lead – Cold Box Packaging is responsible for providing technical leadership and engineering oversight for the design, packaging, integration, and delivery of cold box systems supporting the company’s clean energy solutions. This role leads multidisciplinary engineering activities from concept and detailed design through fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning. This position works closely with Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Piping, Electrical/Controls, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project Management, Quality, and field teams to deliver reliable and efficient packaged systems.

The position is designed to serve as the knowledge expert in Cold Box Packaging in addition to basic essential functions and responsibilities. Location of the position can be at any Nikkiso site.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Mechanical Engineering, chemical Engineering or closely related engineering field.

• Eight plus years of engineering experience preferably involving cryogenic systems, process equipment, packages systems, pressure systems, or industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, piping systems, pressure-containing systems, and equipment packaging.
• Experience interpreting P&ID’s, equipment specifications, piping layouts and engineering drawings.
• Experience working with 3D CAD Design systems and engineering documentation.
• Strong understanding of applicable engineering codes and standards.
• Professional Engineer license a plus
• Proven expertise in relationship management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
