Job Description
The Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the discipline at a project level and managing the project discipline budget on projects of varying sizes and complexities. The Lead Engineer understands the development and field implementation of documents through all project phases, coordinates with internal and external parties, manages multiple tasks, establishes priorities, and directs the work of others. This role may work independently or under the guidance of the Project Manager. The Lead Mechanical Engineer manages workflows and the execution of design and engineering support staff to meet client expectations and project goals.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer has a thorough understanding of all project phases, sizes, and complexities. They coordinate with internal and external parties, manage multiple tasks, and act as the mechanical point-of-contact for clients and other disciplines. Responsibilities include completing complex project code analysis, preparing bid/permit/construction deliverables, and understanding technical and design aspects relevant to CRB’s market areas.
