Position Overview

We're seeking a full-time, staff Mechanical Engineer IV to join our team located in Greenville SC, Charlotte NC, or remotely.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise as a Mechanical Engineer, including developing scopes of work, equipment specifications & data sheets, vendor coordination, and technical bid evaluations from front-end engineering through detailed design and construction support.

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers across multiple projects, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
• Develop and evaluate conceptual and alternative designs considering constructability, performance, energy efficiency, and other factors.
• Manage scope changes to meet budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines, departments, vendors, and clients.
• Establish work plans, staffing, and schedules; review and approve engineering drawings and specifications, stamping as a PE when responsible.

Skills & Qualifications

• Develop equipment specifications and work closely with vendors.
• Knowledge of industry standards and experience in cost estimation for equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software; effective communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience, preferably in EPC industry or related to nuclear/fossil industries, with experience in high-energy rotating equipment.
• PE license preferred.
• Ability to pass background screening.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $114,880 - $172,320, depending on experience and location.
