Job summary

Black & Veatch invites a Summer Intern to join our Equipments LNG sub-discipline in Overland Park, supporting mechanical engineering projects from concept through execution. You will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop fundamentals in design, analysis, and data handling while studying ABET-accredited ME or CHE eng programs.

Qualifications

• No experience required; Currently enrolled in ABET-accredited Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
• Basic understanding of fluids/thermodynamics is preferred.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
• Support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations and assist in equipment selection.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables.
• Collect and evaluate data and perform system analyses using computer modeling.
