Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Summer Intern to contribute to critical infrastructure projects across LNG, fertilizers, gasification, hydrogen and related disciplines. You’ll gain hands-on experience while supporting engineering analyses, data collection, and design tasks in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment.

No prior experience is required; enrolled in ABET-accredited chemical or mechanical engineering program.

Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience in Gas, Fuel and Chemicals preferred.
  • Experience in P&ID/PFD preferred.
  • Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Intellectual Horsepower, Written Communications, Drive For Results, Informing, Listening, and Dealing with Ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects for LNG, Fertilizers (Ammonia, Urea, etc.), Gasification, Hydrogen, Fermentation, Sulfur Recovery, Gas Treating, and NGL Recovery and Fractionation.
  • Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs
  • Prepare basic calculations
  • Assist in basic equipment selection
  • Collect, organize, and evaluate data

Job Summary

As a Summer Intern at Black & Veatch, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world’s most critical infrastructure challenges. Key Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

This intern position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis.
