Job summary

Charter Steel is seeking a Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering student for a hands-on internship in Cleveland, OH. You will read engineering prints, analyze manufacturing processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The program runs part-time during the academic year (15–20 hours/week) and full-time in summer (40 hours/week), starting January 2027. The internship offers mentorship, development workshops, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings within our document management system.
• Verify engineering prints reflect current parts and manufacturing processes.
• Assist with design and development of new parts and components.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
