Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to coordinate our engineering function and support the full product development life cycle. You will lead mechanical design efforts for electromechanical systems, perform analyses, and ensure designs meet reliability and manufacturing standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the mechanical domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience with strong aptitude.
• Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools; electromechanical systems experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Product supports the full product development cycle from concept to release.
• Perform stress, strain, tolerances, and validation analyses.
• Create and review mechanical designs using CAD; ensure GD&T compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for manufacturability and readiness.
• Lead design reviews and drive continuous improvement in mechanical subsystems.
• Mentor junior engineers and mentor teammates in engineering best practices.
