Job summary

Carnegie Robotics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design and integrate robotic systems for commercial products and R&D. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, model in CAD, perform FEA, and support production from prototyping to manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred) and 10+ years in mechanical engineering.
Strong CAD and analysis capabilities with SolidWorks, FEA, and GD&T.
Ability to collaborate across software, electrical, and systems teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

Performing engineering tasks across the product lifecycle from concept to fielded products.
Modeling parts and assemblies in CAD (SolidWorks) for concept and detailed design.
Designing mechanisms with multiple degrees of freedom and selecting power solutions as needed.
Working with suppliers to improve manufacturability and creating manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
Traveling up to 5% for on-site testing and production support.
