Jobtailor in Boston, MA is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Engineer to support projects with Revit/AutoCAD system engineering and detailed mechanical layouts under a lead engineer. The role covers HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and energy modeling, ensuring designs meet codes and standards.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 1–2 years of mechanical experience, and ideally be an Engineer in Training (EIT).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
1–2 years of Mechanical experience recommended.
E.I.T. preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and concepts.
Familiarity with building codes and industry standards.
Ability to read plans and specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office and design software.

Responsibilities

Perform Revit/AutoCAD system engineering.
Design and plan mechanical system designs and layouts under the direction of a lead engineer.
Apply expertise to HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy Modeling systems.
Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail.
Read plans and specifications and edit/write specifications.
Apply building codes and industry standards.
Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection based on load requirements.
Interact with clients and project team members.
Support the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costs.
Contribute to site visits and prepare reports.
Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
Perform other duties as assigned.
