Job summary

Radise International in Port St. Lucie, FL, seeks a Mechanical Engineer II / QA Inspector to provide design oversight and field inspections for USACE projects.

You will review drawings, coordinate with disciplines, and support construction activities including testing and commissioning. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 5–10 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, RMS, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, construction, or project inspection (USACE or federal experience preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, RMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC, UFC, NFPA, and USACE engineering procedures.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites within the USACE Caribbean District as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate mechanical design drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance with USACE and federal design standards.
• Provide engineering oversight during construction phases, including field inspections, testing, and verification of mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural disciplines to ensure design integration and system performance.
• Conduct field inspections and quality assurance surveillance for mechanical systems and related works.
• Prepare technical reports, design analyses, and recommendations to support project delivery.
