Job summary

Club Car is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to advance growth initiatives in electric and ICE vehicle space. The role focuses on powertrain system design, supplier interactions, and the design and release of powertrain components in a collaborative engineering environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Plastics Engineering Technology and 3+ years’ experience, with strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Plastics Engineering Technology, or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years’ experience is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert in subsystems in mechanical vehicle architecture (motors, engines, CVTs, transaxles).
• Develop and maintain a vehicle and component mechanical specification and qualifications plan.
• Drive diligence and collaboration in requirements, risk analysis, DFMEA, DVP&R, engineering change notices and specifications.
• Employ project management methodologies to ensure a predictable outcome for department goals and responsibilities.
• Remove roadblocks and accelerate implementation of projects.
• Develop technology roadmaps and strategies to win in target markets.
• Drive culture of traceable test acceptance criteria using reliability and confidence in designs.
