Job summary

Bartelt Packaging, a ProMach Company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer II to join its team in Sarasota, FL. You will plan and design packaging equipment, electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems, and interact with customers and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in machine design, and proficiency with Inventor or SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in machine design; designing for manufacturability; packaging experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in Inventor (or SolidWorks) and AutoCAD.
• General knowledge of product handling, machine capabilities and assembly principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Contributes to the mechanical design/development of new products.
• Creates and dimension engineering/fabrication drawings for sheet metal and machined components.
• Creates installation/training/operator manuals as needed.
• Creates final assembly drawings and maintains drawing databases.
• Performs Engineering Change Orders and root-cause analysis as required.
• Provides technical support to manufacturing, sales and service teams.
