Qualifications

• Four year degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 years experience as a mechanical engineer in an industrial environment.
• Proficient with AutoCAD for 2D CAD and Inventor for 3D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on work with area teams to troubleshoot plant issues, interpret and explain drawings.
• Preparation of proposal layout, description, timeline, RFQs, specifications, and budgets for capital and other large projects.
• Updating and creating plant and equipment drawings, working with document management systems.
• Design of small structures and improvedparts/equipment.
• Knowledge of current codes, regulations, and standards in various disciplines.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; demonstrate ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
