Job summary

Enflite Inc. in Georgetown, Texas, seeks a mechanical/aerospace engineer to design and substantiate electromechanical systems used in executive jet interiors. You will lead design efforts, develop test plans, and prepare manufacturing documentation for complex assemblies.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 4–10 years aerospace experience, with strong Inventor/SolidWorks skills and cross-team collaboration capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
• 4–10 years aerospace experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Inventor and SolidWorks for complex assemblies.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams, FMEA/FHA/SSA documents.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of mechanical, thermal, and electromechanical systems for executive jet interiors.
• Develop test plans, validate designs, and align with requirements.
• Create and approve manufacturing document packages and drawings.
• Guide junior engineers on ECO documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and certification teams.

It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.Position Overview:Research, design, develop and substantiate mechanical, thermal, and/or electromechanical systems used in executive jet interiors.Essential Functions:Guides, trains junior Engineers on the proper company Engineering Change Order documentation.Solves moderate to complex technical challenges.Performs and/or leads new product design using Inventor of our most complex products.Creates technical proposals and costs estimates for our customers.Develops test plans, evaluates results, validation and verification efforts to align design with requirements.Support builds on the production floor.Create, check and approve manufacturing document packages including drawing and work instructions.Tracks project with compliance matrix, manpower schedules. Reporting project progress to management.Collaborates effectively with hardware, firmware and certification engineers.Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitaskExcellent organization skills with strong attention to detailExcellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative requiredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels in the company, with customers and suppliers.Ability to work independently for long periods of time and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiativeSkilled with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint, Outlook)Skilled with 3-D modeling and 2-D drafting using Inventor in a Solidworks PDM vault.Ability to perform engineering calculations to substantiate a designAbility to read and understand wiring diagrams, firmware requirements, FMEA, FHA, SSA documents.Knowledge of aviation material specifications and standard hardware specifications to comply with strength, flammability and other performance requirements.Education, Certifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering4-10 years’ experience in aerospace preferred.
