Dassault Falcon Jet is seeking an Associate Engineering Technician II to transform Logistic Support Analysis data, 3D models, drawings, and specs into publication-ready aircraft maintenance procedures and illustrations.

You will use CATIA, VPM, 3DExperience, FIELD6, Arbortext, IsoDraw, and Office 365 to support equipment installation, testing, and cross-functional DFJ Engineering teams. The role is in an open-office environment with occasional exposure to loud manufacturing areas.

Formación

  • Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent aircraft experience.
  • Proven ability to read eng drawings, specs and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with publication-ready documentation and graphic tools.

Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Engineering Technician II transforms Logistic Support Analysis data, 3D models, engineering drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams into accurate, publication-ready aircraft maintenance procedures and illustrations. Using CATIA, VPM, 3DExperience, FIELD6, Arbortext, IsoDraw, and Microsoft Office 365, the technician develops documentation supporting equipment and cabinetry removal, installation, and testing. The role collaborates across DFJ Engineering and downstream organizations, supports related group activities, and cross-trains on departmental deliverables. Work is primarily performed in an open-office computer environment, with occasional exposure to high-noise aircraft manufacturing and operational areas.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates' degree in a technical field OR High School diploma with seven years of aircraft experience OR a Bachelors degree in English, Professional Writing, Graphic Design, or similar
  • Five years of aircraft experience
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with positive attitude, willing to take on any assigned tasks
  • Be able to climb into various areas of an aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CATIA and VPM or similar software knowledge. Familiar with and have the ability to analyze, manipulate, resize, edit and convert 3D models to graphics
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams
  • Mastered the assigned tasks and able to work independently
  • Completed the following training classes or similar: Time Management and Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
  • Demonstrates actively developing network within DFJ engineering and upstream and downstream organizations.
  • Cross Trained on at least two of the department's deliverables.
  • Know and demonstrate the values of the company and department

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work in an open office at a computer for long periods of time.
  • On occasion be around loud noises (greater than 120 dB (rivets being installed, jet engines, etc.).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Gathers data from multiple sources and compiles / transforms it into additional formats for publication to downstream users.
  • Regularly completes significant projects / tasks within core activities with minimal supervision. Able to work independently.
  • Reports individual progress regularly to project focal points.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this position typically falls between $58,543.00 and $78,193.00 per year . This position is not eligible for overtime under FLSA guidelines . This position may be eligible for shift differential. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited tothe type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
