Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design, analyze, and release components for cardio and strength equipment, from concept through production launch.

Hybrid role in Ramsey, MN with in-office collaboration Tue-Thu; travel up to 20% to supplier visits and prototyping. Requires BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years experience, SolidWorks, GD&T, BOM management, and ability to perform FEA and design calculations.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience in related field.
• Proficient with SolidWorks design software.
• Knowledge of GD&T and BOM management.
• Experience with engineering analyses (FEA, heat transfer, dynamics).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design and document components and systems using SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering analyses, such as FEA, dynamic simulations, and tolerance analysis.
• Collaborate with product development to define specs and timelines.
• Develop component and product test plans with reliability and compliance teams.
• Lead projects to improve Mechanical Engineering department processes.
• Travel up to 20% for supplier visits, prototyping and production activities.
