Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to support the Hill AFB Civil Engineer Division, focusing on reviewing designs, cost estimates, and mechanical systems for large-scale facilities. You will coordinate with the Cherokee Nation client and stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with several years of design/construction experience, familiarity with military procurement processes, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4 years’ experience in design and construction activities.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of locality is highly desirable.
  • Experience with military design/construction process is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and project management guidance.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical reviews of studies, reports, and analyses.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and construction managers.
  • Define and develop engineering project requirements and translate to Statements of Work.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Oversee multiple design & construction project reviews concurrently.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze technical designs and drawings.
