Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to support facility planning and execution at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This is a full-time, on-site role spanning planning, design, construction, and closeout, with a focus on DoD project management experience.

Candidates should have a strong background in Air Force asset management, program data tracking, and coordination with government stakeholders, designers, and contractors to ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5 years of DoD facility and infrastructure O&M project planning experience within the last 10 years.
• 5+ years of USAF Civil Engineering project programming and strategic planning experience.
• Knowledge of Asset Management philosophy, techniques, and budgeting processes.
• Experience leading installation migration to Asset Management processes.
• Experience with RS Means, PACES, or DoD pricing guidance for cost estimation.
• Strong organization and communication skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Must provide proof of US Citizenship and pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility renovation, repair, improvement, and construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop project requirements, SOWs, and supporting technical documentation; conduct site surveys.
• Track requests and input programming data into the automated program management system (NEXGEN IT).
• Support project turnover and closeout, including DD Form 1354 documentation.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, Air Force requirements, and UFC.
• Review drawings, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and design packages; lead project meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, designers, and construction contractors to address design, construction, and operations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
