Job summary

BW Converting is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design or alter machines with a focus on manufacturability, cost, and performance. You will create assemblies, read blueprints, and support vendors while solving complex design challenges.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 2–4 years of related experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/PDM and/or Autodesk Inventor/Vault).
• OEM experience in machine component design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative conceptual designs, technical solutions, and assembly drawings.
• Perform hands-on design and detailing of machine parts and assemblies.
• Support purchasing in evaluating offers and suppliers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Investigate equipment issues to diagnose faults and recommend fixes.
• Meet design deliverables for quality, cost, and scheduling.
• Collaborate to develop and improve products and processes.
• Travel as needed up to 15%.
