Job summary

Qualifications

• BSME from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with emphasis on design and fabrication of mechanical and electromechanical equipment and systems.
• Experience with PID loop controllers, PLCs and other plant control and monitoring equipment.
• Familiarity with standard engineering equations and calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CAD experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD; SAP experience a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• Minitab software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze data, design proposals and specifications.
• Design products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, machines, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
• Coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications.
• Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
• Develop and/or improve processes for the manufacture of new or existing products.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures to prevent equipment failure recurrence.
