Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leader in building intelligence, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering engineering solutions for mission-critical mechanical projects. You will produce drawings, specifications, equipment selections, installation sequences and testing/commissioning documents.

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 2+ years of design, testing and commissioning experience are required. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited program.
• 2+ years of design, testing and commissioning experience for building power systems.
• Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Top Secret clearance with polygraph.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE Handbook and Standards.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, and cooling systems and relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations, equipment selection, system design and layout for proposals and contracts.
• Determine project scopes, deadlines, and budgets and support within deadlines and budget.
• Produce construction drawings and specifications aligned with contract requirements and codes.
• Address mechanical design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning issues.
• Develop system sequence of operations and testing/commissioning documentation.
• Support PITCO processes including system programming and integration testing.
• Ensure successful project construction, start-up, and commissioning.
• Document design work using AutoCAD and REVIT in 2D and 3D.
• Provide technical support to operations management and respond to RFIs.
