The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of progressive engineering experience, or an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience. Relocation assistance may be available for those relocating.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers.

  • Performs detailed calculations to design for system cooling requirements.
  • Discusses designs with internal and external customers to meet requirements.
  • Ensures designs comply with specifications, codes and customer needs.
  • Inspects installations for conformance to design and equipment specs.
  • Compiles data and writes reports on engineering studies and projects.
  • Contributes to creation of technical manuals.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite and Solidworks knowledge is required.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience: At least 3 years of progressive engineering related experienceorEducation: Associate’s Degree in Mechanical TechnologyExperience: 6 years of progressive engineering related experienceTravel: 5-10%Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.Location:This position is expected to be onsite in Monroe, Louisiana. Relocation assistance may be offered for those outside of Louisiana who plan to relocate.Onsite training is provided but requires relocation to a WI, KS, IN, or TX facility for 3 months. Lodging, travel, and food are covered by the company during this time.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides guidance to Level 1 Engineers and Designers.Converts prototype designs into commercially viable mechanical systems.Performs detailed calculations to design for system cooling requirements.Confers with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential product designs.Provide guidance to ensure that designs comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.Inspects completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.Compiles data and writes reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.Contributes to creation of technical manuals.Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.The job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
