Job summary

Lennox International, Allied Air Enterprises division, in South Carolina, is seeking an engineer to design, fabricate, modify and evaluate mechanical systems. The role coordinates with drafters, writers, technicians and shop personnel to support new and existing products.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 1 year of related experience. CAD/analytical software proficiency and strong communication skills are essential.

What Drives Success

This engineer designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates complex mechanical and electro-mechanical

components, sub-systems and systems. The person in this position may also coordinate the efforts of drafters, technical writers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as needed.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Write test procedures, compile and evaluate design and test data and prepare technical specifications.
  • Recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes.
  • Coordinate with technical support personnel to conduct prototypes or experimental runs for products or processes.
What We Are Looking For
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Requires at least 1 year related experience.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Experience with analytical and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
What We Offer

Compensation:This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $79,000 - $103,950annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Benefits:Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
