Job summary

Vertiv in Ohio is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive the mechanical and thermal design of new products for our Thermal global line. This hands-on, design-to-launch role requires turning abstract concepts into hardware and supporting lab testing on the second shift, with regular local travel to facilities.

You will create and modify CAD models in Creo and Solid Edge, maintain BOMs, and work with Marketing, Manufacturing, Service and Quality to meet customer requirements while diagnosing and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and basic electrical concepts.
• Experience with Oracle or Agile data-entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Create/modify mechanical parts/assemblies/drawings in CAD (Creo/Solid Edge).
• Create and maintain BOMs and unit configurator logic.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Service and Quality to meet requirements.
• Assist prototype builds with technical support.
• Incorporate feedback from prototypes and field trials.
• Coordinate lab testing and analyze data to improve performance.
• Model thermal systems to determine performance and proper part selection.
• Determine control routines to meet customer requirements.
