The Mechanical Engineer I role focuses on developing new products and supporting legacy devices across military, aerospace, pyrotechnic, pneumatic, or electro‑mechanical systems throughout their lifecycle.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 1 year with CAD tools (Creo 8.0+).

Qualifications

• Lawful US person (ITAR restrictions).
• Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by ATF for all employees.
• Ability to document design activities to support all stages of a program including PDR, CDR, DRR, TRR, etc.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work within an agile and milestone-driven culture on a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Create solid models using Creo software (with Windchill).
• Generate detailed drawings per ANSI Y14.5M with correct tolerances and GD&T.
• Perform engineering calculations using Matlab, Mathcad, Ansys, etc.
• Build, test, and evaluate prototypes.
• Support System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR).
• Develop technical documentation including BOMs, SOWs, and assembly/test procedures.
• Support complex programs through all product lifecycle phases.
• Disposition of nonconforming hardware and updating build documentation.
