Job summary

OpenKyber, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and support mechanical systems for heavy-duty vehicles and mobile equipment.

You will focus on geartrain, suspension, steering, and braking, while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mobile equipment or automotive-like systems and can work independently while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing mechanical systems for mobile equipment or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience with geartrain, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools (Creo/CATIA).
• Experience creating/interpreting engineering drawings, layouts, and BOMs.
• Ability to perform engineering analysis and solve design problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and components for heavy-duty vehicles and mobile equipment.
• Apply engineering principles to geartrain, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
• Perform engineering analysis to support component selection, system performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives.
• Evaluate existing designs and develop modifications to improve performance, manufacturability, reliability, or cost.
• Integrate mechanical components and systems into vehicle platforms.
• Troubleshoot mechanical system and component issues and develop solutions.
• Analyze and resolve engineering issues from production, testing, or customer feedback.
• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, layouts, and BOMs.
