enVista is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and implement automated material handling systems, spanning from concept to installation. You’ll contribute to a diverse project portfolio, collaborate with vendors, and support business development efforts with technical insight.

The role is based in Willowbrook, IL with a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities to grow technical skills while working on conveyors, robotics, and PLC-driven systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 1-2 years of experience with automated machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing automated material handling systems based on customer needs.
• Support feasibility assessments for new product integrations, considering cost and timelines.
• Apply sound engineering practices and collaborate with vendors to develop creative solutions.
• Help manage multiple projects, including scheduling and coordination.
• Provide technical support to Account Managers during business development efforts.
• Create detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Participate in on-site installations, including testing, debugging, and training.
• Maintain project documentation such as procedures, maintenance plans, and parts lists.
• Troubleshoot issues using root cause analysis and support corrective actions.
