Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support naval submarine programs through analytic and design work. You will conduct static analyses of structures, develop solid models, and perform FEA to predict stress and structural performance in shipboard environments.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering, be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
• Ability to maintain a DoW Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
• Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines.
• Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
• Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine.
• At least Zero (0) to Two (2) years business experience in:

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
