Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at our Bagdad, Arizona operations. You will participate in root-cause analysis, evaluate equipment downtime, and help implement corrective actions to ensure continuous production.

A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering is required and knowledge of engineering principles, safety practices, and effective communication are essential. We offer an annual pay range of $80,000 to $110,000, with eligibility for discretionary incentives and a

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of Mechanical Engineering
• Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Participates as a team member to perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and assist in the identification and implementation of corrective actions or technologies.
• Consider cost impact for recommended action plans for correcting downtime issues on installed equipment.
• Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment failures.
• Reports on Key Performance Indices.
• Analyze current CMMS data for equipment health indicators and prepare reports.
• Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment and make recommendations for improvement.
• Perform other duties as required.

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$80,000 - $110,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
