Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Bagdad, Arizona, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support equipment reliability and plant uptime. You will participate in root-cause analysis of failures, assess downtime impacts, and help implement corrective actions to keep production uninterrupted.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a team member to perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and assist in corrective actions.
• Consider cost impact for recommended action plans for downtime issues on installed equipment.
• Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment failures.
• Reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Analyze current CMMS data for equipment health indicators and prepare reports.
• Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment and make recommendations for improvement.
• Perform other duties as required.

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$80,000 - $110,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
