Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help advance a variety of building projects. You will design HVAC and plumbing systems, perform calculations, and develop construction drawings while coordinating with multidisciplinary designers and engineers.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited), 2+ years in the A/E field, and a PE license or active pursuit. Revit and MS Office skills are essential for project delivery and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consulting business.
• PE license or working toward licensure.
• Proficiency with Revit mechanical software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
• Support projects across industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, and higher education markets.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and engineering evaluations.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support and resolve field issues.
• Utilize Revit and other engineering software to develop and coordinate designs.
• Communicate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
