Ramboll is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Charlotte, NC to lead HVAC-focused design across chemical, power, and industrial facilities. You will develop conceptual designs, create construction documents, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality drawings.

You will perform energy assessments and building modeling, prepare technical reports, and conduct site visits while upholding safety and environmental standards. A PE license and Revit experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or greater.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of fire protection requirements for industrial facilities, including the IFC, NFPA standards and FM Global guidelines.
• Desire to work in chemical, power, and industrial market segment.
• Desire and ability to work at industrial facilities gathering data for designs (expect <10% travel).
• Detail oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design and engineer HVAC systems, with additional responsibilities across industrial piping, plumbing, utility plants, compressed air, chilled water, steam, and fire protection systems.
• Develop conceptual designs, cost estimates, equipment specifications, and detailed construction documents using Revit and other engineering tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated mechanical designs and high-quality construction drawings.
• Perform energy assessments, building modeling, and analysis to identify and quantify energy conservation and cost-saving opportunities.
• Design building ventilation, plumbing, and utility piping systems while preparing clear technical reports and client presentations.
• Conduct site visits as needed and uphold company standards for project execution, safety, health, and environmental compliance.
