Job summary

Antora Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver high-temperature heat transfer and process-fluid systems for its thermal energy storage projects. You will own mechanical components from concept through deployment, working on piping, vessels, heat exchangers, and steam generation for MW-scale equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent; 4+ years in industrial applications engineering.
• Experience solving novel engineering problems through commercial deployment.
• Experience with industrial mechanical equipment: Pressure Vessels, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Fans, Tanks, Piping, Valves.
• Designing equipment for elevated-temperature service (>400 °C): materials selection and high-temp sealing.
• Understanding process-fluid hazards and their mechanical implications (inert gas asphyxiation, hot fluid release, corrosion).
• Familiar with piping and pressure vessel codes (ASME BPVC, ASME B31, PED 2014/68/EU, CSA B51).

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle ownership of plant mechanical components and systems.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs for first-of-a-kind pressure vessels, piping, and components.
• Perform thermal-mechanical analyses: differential expansion, creep, thermal cycling, insulation trade-offs.
• Select valves, seals, instruments, and fittings for hot service with temperature considerations.
• Identify and collaborate with vendors to enable design execution.
• Create and implement test plans to validate performance and lifetime.
