Requirements include a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 5–7 years of related experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and familiarity with FEA tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5–7 years of mechanical engineering experience in heavy industrial facilities.
• Read and interpret drawings for review and reference.
• Willing to travel with a valid driver's license.
• Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer licensure under mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Work within project schedules and deadlines.
• Review and remain familiar with approved design criteria and codes.
• Define deliverables by reviewing project scope.
• Create and review calculations specific for the design.
• Prepare reports outlining design criteria or equipment analysis.
• Interact with clients to review project status or deliverables.
• Travel to client's site to attend meetings or gather information.
• Design layouts for heavy industrial systems including gearing, gearboxes, and piping.
• Provide detailed drawings and a bill of materials for project execution.
• Support a wide range of consulting projects under engineering supervision.
