Job summary

Firematic Supply Co. is seeking a mechanical engineer to design emergency vehicle bodies and chassis cab accessories using SolidWorks.

You will produce fabrication drawings and ensure assembly integrity across the production floor, while coordinating with operations for scheduling and customer requirements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years work experience.
• Use SolidWorks to accurately and proficiently model complex structural sheet metal assemblies.
• Use SolidWorks to create complex plumbing systems and electrical harnesses.
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM and managing design libraries.
• Read written specification documents and translate into designs that meet specifications.
• Ability to indicate design problems and formulate solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design emergency vehicle bodies and chassis cab accessories using SolidWorks.
• Produce drawings for fabrication and assembly of emergency vehicles.
• Ensure CAD configurations prevent conflicts during assembly.
• Understand cable routing in complex sheet metal assemblies.
• Report to Director of Operations to sync design and production scheduling.
