Job summary

Williams International in Crestview, FL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Facilities to maintain and optimize plant layouts, design improvements, and manage facility projects. You will coordinate contractors, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and support EPA audits while collaborating with leadership across departments.

You will leverage CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit) and MS Office to track progress and communicate status, ensuring budgets and schedules are met in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering required.
  • Strong understanding of building infrastructure systems (electrical, mechanical, and plumbing).
  • Proficiency with CAD/drafting software such as AutoCAD; experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Siemens NX is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret building drawings and machine specifications at an advanced level.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
  • U.S. citizenship is required; ability to obtain U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating existing plant layouts.
  • Designing future layout improvements based on Manufacturing requirements.
  • Managing various projects including infrastructure system improvements and manufacturing cell relocations.
  • Coordinating contractors on site and communicating project goals and expectations.
  • Coordinating inspections and preventative maintenance of building life-safety systems and other equipment.
  • Overseeing handling and disposal of chemicals and waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous.
  • Assist in EPA audits and internal record keeping to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborating with leadership to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Presenting project status using MS Office tools.
  • Other technical, physical, and administrative duties as required.

The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Mechanical Engineer - Facilities to join our team.

The Mechanical Engineer - Facilities responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and updating existing plant layouts
  • Designing future layout improvements based on Manufacturing requirements
  • Managing various projects including:
  • Infrastructure system improvements
  • Manufacturing cell relocations
  • Installation/relocation of machines
  • Coordinating various contractors performing work on site, and communicating project goals and expectations
  • Coordinating inspections and preventative maintenance of building life-safety systems and other various equipment
  • Overseeing handling and disposal of chemicals and waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous
  • Assist in EPA audits and internal record keeping, ensuring company compliance
  • Working closely with executive leadership and other functional groups to maintain schedule and budget
  • Utilization of MS Office tools to present and track project status
  • Other technical, physical, and administrative duties as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering
  • An in-depth understanding of building infrastructure systems (electrical, mechanical, and plumbing).
  • Proficient with CAD and drafting software such as AutoCAD; experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Siemens NX is a plus
  • Strong ability to read and interpret building drawings and machine specifications at an advanced level
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint).
  • U. S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Preferences
  • Prior construction or manufacturing experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building code, OSHA, and safety standards
  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (EPA, RCRA, DOT, and UDEQ).
  • PMP or other project management certification
