Job summary

Williams International in Utah is seeking an Engineer to join our team. The qualified candidate will have primary responsibility for working in a lean manufacturing cell implementing new gas turbine engines component part designs and developing process improvements for existing designs.

This role also involves creating estimated process plans, part detail designs (blue prints), manufacturing process plans, performing process development, NC programming, tool design, and collaborating with layout

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Zero to five years of engineering/manufacturing experience; internship/co-op desirable.
  • Experience in manufacturing, CNC programming, or tool design is a plus.
  • Must be able to read and interpret part drawings.
  • Strong CAD skills with Creo or NX preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a lean manufacturing cell implementing new gas turbine engine component designs.
  • Develop process improvements for existing designs.
  • Create estimated process plans and part detail drawings (blue prints).
  • Develop manufacturing process plans and perform process development.
  • Perform NC programming and tool design; collaborate with layout specialists.

The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our team. The qualified candidate will have primary responsibility for working in a lean manufacturing cell implementing new gas turbine engines component part designs and developing process improvements for existing designs. This position also will include creating estimated process plans, part detail designs (blue prints), manufacturing process plans, performing process development, NC programming, tool design, and working with layout specialists.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering and an interest in gas turbine engines. The position requires zero to five years of experience. In addition, one to two years of summer intern or co-op experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is desirable. Manufacturing, CNC Programming, or tool design experience a plus. Must be able to read and interpret part drawings. Strong CAD skills required (PTC Creo or UG NX is a plus). U.S. citizenship is required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
