Job summary

HEICO in Derby, Kansas is seeking a mid-level mechanical engineer to review customer requirements, design electromechanical components, create drawings, and provide production support for product builds. Under the Engineering Manager, this role ensures designs meet schedule and customer requirements.

The candidate will also support quality control of engineering deliverables and act as the technical point of contact for the projects assigned, collaborating with electrical and software engineers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in aircraft cabin or similar systems.
• SolidWorks and 3D modeling experience to support detail, assembly, and top-level drawings.
• Strong technical/problem-solving skills and ability to communicate clearly.
• Self-motivated team player capable of learning quickly within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and design electromechanical components and assemblies.
• Create engineering drawings and provide production support for builds.
• Coordinate with electrical/software engineers on overall design.
• Ensure designs meet DRM, project, and design requirements.
• Support design reviews and maintain quality of engineering deliverables.
• Serve as technical contact for assigned design projects.
