Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in mechanical design within a sealing technology or elastomer manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (FEA).
  • Experience with API standards and Oil & Gas sealing requirements is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with creating and managing part numbers, BOMs, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed mechanical design work, including 3D modeling and simulations (e.g., thermal, stress).
  • Create detailed engineering and assembly drawings for manufacturing, ensuring designs meet input specifications.
  • Conduct technical analysis and resolve engineering issues per customer and industry requirements.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, marketing, sales, and project management to integrate design requirements.
  • Design new elastomer seals for pressure control and BOP applications and improve existing products.
