Job summary

Jobot seeks a Mechanical Engineer with government project experience to join our team. Ideal candidates will have 4-6+ years of Mechanical/HVAC design, perform calculations, select equipment, and design HVAC/EMCS/plumbing/fire protection systems for commercial and government facilities.

BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university is required; EIT/PE is preferred. AutoCAD or Revit proficiency and ability to obtain security clearance are essential; LEED credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of Mechanical/HVAC systems design experience.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• EIT or PE license preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance is required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit software.
• Respond to RFIs and provide feedback to Project Managers.
• Generate As-Built drawings and review shop drawings.
• Prepare project specifications and assist engineers and drafters.
• LEED AP or LEED GA preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, EMCS, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Perform calculations and select equipment for projects.
• Generate As-Built drawings and review shop drawings.
• Prepare project specifications and assist engineers/drafters.
• Respond to RFIs and support Project Managers.
• Conduct surveys of existing conditions and final inspections.
• Assist with due diligence reports and quality control.
