Garver seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Buildings team in Tulsa, OK. You will develop mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, energy modeling, and sustainability reporting, coordinating with disciplines and offices to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications include ABET-accredited degree, 3+ years in building design, Revit proficiency, MS Office, and FE exam. Travel to project sites is required; AutoCAD and Carrier HAP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus from an ABET accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 3 years of building design and construction industry experience.
• Must have a knowledge base of mechanical engineering principals related to building mechanical designs.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Must be proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.

Responsabilités

• Develop mechanical designs for Buildings projects including planning, design and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, energy modeling and sustainability reporting.
• Coordinate with support disciplines and regional offices; assist project managers in project management.
• Follow QA/QC plans and maintain project accounting records for assigned projects.

As part of the Buildings team for Garver, this Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing mechanical designs in support of various Buildings projects. Specifically, this responsibility will include a variety of projects related to planning, design, and commissioning of:

• Building HVAC system(s)
• Building plumbing system(s)
• Building fire protection system(s)
• Building whole building energy modeling
• Building sustainability requirements reporting

In addition, this role will include coordination with other support disciplines, and coordination with regional offices. Assisting project managers in management of projects. Following quality assurance and quality control plans. Periodic travel to project sites will be required.

Abilities and attributes needed for this position:

• Knowledge of mechanical engineering and sustainability principles
• Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawings
• Utilize Microsoft Excel based calculation tools for design calculations
• Manage multiple assignments concurrently
• Be responsible for time management and product quality
• Keep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projects
• Follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
• Be responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as overall needs of the team

Requirements
