Job summary

Keel in Michigan seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, detail, and check systems for special equipment used in assembly, testing and material removal.

You will perform field service, start-up support at customer sites, troubleshoot and coordinate fabrication activities, and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required; knowledge of control and fluid power systems and experience with solid modeling software preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of control and fluid power systems.
  • Experience with solid modeling software.
  • Experience in machines component selection and fit/form.
  • Ability to perform structural calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, detail, and check systems for special equipment used for assembly, testing and material removal.
  • Field service and start-up support at the customer site.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical designs, assemblies, and component problems and implement corrective measures.
  • Coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.
  • Adhere to project budgets and schedules.
