Job summary

Keel is seeking a mechanical engineer to design, detail, and check systems for special equipment used in assembly, testing and material removal.

The role includes installation support at the customer facility, field service, troubleshooting, and coordinating fabrication, operation, and repair of electromechanical products and systems.

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience, plus knowledge of control and fluid power systems, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of machines and automation.
• Basic understanding of control and fluid power systems.
• Experience with solid modeling software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, detail, and check systems for special equipment used for assembly, testing and material removal.
• Installation support and start up at the customer’s facility.
• Field service and debugging will be required.
• Manufacturing/assembly support; research, plan, and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems.
• Direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical designs, assemblies, and component problems and implement corrective measures.
• Adhere to project budget and working within loaded hours; plan and carry out assignments per policies and practices.
• Refer unusual findings to the Engineering Manager and follow guidelines.
• Other related duties as assigned.
