Job summary

ByteBridge is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Data Center Infrastructure to design, develop, deploy, and commission high-density data center cooling solutions. You will lead site-level mechanical engineering, oversee piping, and equipment integration, and support constructability and field verification.

The role requires a PE license and 4+ years in data centers or mission-critical facilities, with strong knowledge of cooling systems, ASHRAE guidelines, and BIM coordination using AutoCAD/Revit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering (Required).
  • 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in data centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor facilities, advanced manufacturing, or other high-availability infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of data center cooling and hydronic systems.
  • Experience with high-density computing and/or liquid-cooled data center environments preferred.
  • Experience with CDUs, chilled-water systems, secondary cooling loops, pumps, heat exchangers, CRAHs, chillers, RDHx systems and controls.
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE guidelines and building-code requirements.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit; BIM coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering activities for high-density data center infrastructure.
  • Develop and review mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, equipment schedules, and engineering documentation.
  • Design and validate cooling solutions for traditional and high-density AI/GPU data center environments.
  • Support liquid cooling, CDUs, secondary cooling loops, RDHx, CRAH/CRAC, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
  • Perform cooling load, equipment sizing, pressure-drop, pump sizing, flow and system capacity calculations.
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, architectural, controls/BMS, fire protection, and IT teams.
