Job summary

ByteBridge in Hayward, CA seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and deployment of high-density data center infrastructure, with emphasis on cooling systems, liquid cooling, piping, and integration.

You will collaborate across product, electrical, project management, manufacturing, and external partners to ensure constructible, code-compliant solutions for mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 4+ years in mechanical engineering, preferably data centers.
• Strong knowledge of data center cooling and hydronic systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit; BIM coordination preferred.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE and local codes (IBC/IMC/NFPA).

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and reviews for high-density data center infra.
• Develop drawings, specs, calculations, equipment schedules.
• Design cooling solutions for traditional and AI/GPU data centers.
• Review piping layouts, equipment placement, redundancy, clearances.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, controls, IT, and vendors.
• Support BOMs and procurement packages.
• Conduct site visits and ensure conformance to design.
