Job description

You will be a Mechanical Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOFGLSS) contract in Lexington, KY. Our team is responsible for designing and completing modifications on various military vehicles and aircraft platforms to support the warfighter.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and completing modifications on various military vehicle and aircraft platforms to ensure that the SOF community and its warfighters are equipped with the best possible systems and equipment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Design and complete modifications on various military vehicles and aircraft platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects
• Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
• Develop and implement creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
• Ensure that all designs and modifications meet the highest standards of quality and safety
• Perform mechanical design, analysis, and testing of military vehicle and aircraft platforms
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and test reports
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure that designs meet requirements and are implemented correctly

Further Information About This Opportunity:

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
*Experience with 3D parametric modeling in CATIA, Creo , SolidWorks or similar software.
*Experience with the creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation
*Experience creating ANSI/ASME Y14.100 compliant drawings
*Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
*Strong communication and presentation skills
Desired Skills:
Experience working in an aerospace
environment.
Experience with Catia V5, Creo , SolidWorks or
other 3D parametric modeling program.
