Full-Time Manufacturing Engineer, SolidWorks

Pretium Packaging, a leader in custom plastic packaging solutions, is seeking a results-driven and energized Manufacturing Engineer to drive standardization, innovation, and performance across our multi-site manufacturing network. What You’ll Be Responsible For:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll serve as a critical liaison between our plants and corporate engineering, leading initiatives that optimize performance, elevate safety standards, and create consistency across the network.

  • Champion continuous improvement across all sites with a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and performance.
  • Lead 5S implementations and help foster a culture of visual organization and workplace discipline.
  • Partner with local plant teams to standardize tooling, equipment, and operational processes across sites.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for root cause analysis (RCA) and provide hands-on support to plant maintenance teams.
  • Guide plants through operational enhancements, including labor optimization, changeover improvements, and scrap reduction.
  • Build and nurture vendor relationships, ensuring high standards and consistent service from contractors and suppliers.
  • Lead new product projects from initial design through to final production validation, owning the process every step of the way.
  • Develop and champion SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) programs to reduce downtime and improve flexibility.
  • Assist each site in building, maintaining, and controlling standardized SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Ensure all engineering practices meet safety and regulatory compliance standards.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with AutoCAD required, SolidWorks a plus
  • Prior exposure to the plastics industry is a strong advantage
